Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
The Alcott Chimney San Antonio Guarantee
We put it in writing before we start, and we stand behind it after we leave. That’s the entire guarantee in one sentence. Since 2002, Alcott Chimney San Antonio has operated on a simple rule: a homeowner should never have to guess what a chimney job will cost, who will show up at the door, or whether the repair will actually hold. Every sweep, inspection, and gas fireplace repair in San Antonio comes with a written price before work begins, a written guarantee on every repair, and a free return visit if that repair fails. Ruben Castellano, Owner, built the business on that promise because he got tired of watching homeowners in Alamo Heights, Stone Oak, and Terrell Hills get burned by vague handshake deals. We don’t do vague. If the work isn’t right, we make it right, and we put that in writing every single time.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every repair, in writing. If a repair we make fails within the coverage period, the second visit is free, no exceptions and no fine print.
- Written price before any work begins. You approve the number first, and that’s the number you pay, even if the job takes longer than we expected.
- Full cleanup after every sweep. We lay drop cloths, we vacuum the firebox, and we leave your hearth cleaner than we found it, soot and creosote dust included.
- On-time arrival with a name and a face. You’ll know your technician’s name and see their photo before we arrive, and they’ll show a photo ID badge at the door, every time.
- Background-checked technicians only. Every tech passes a background check and identity verification before ever stepping on your property. This is the Threshold Standard, not an optional upgrade.
- Professional-grade parts and materials. We carry and install DuraFlex liner systems, HeatShield resurfacing, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield, materials specified by chimney professionals, not box-store substitutes.

Our Satisfaction Promise
If something about our work doesn’t sit right with you, call us. That’s the first step, and it’s a live person on the line around the clock. We’ll send a technician back to look at the issue, and if the repair we made is the problem, the second visit is free. That’s not a customer-service slogan; it’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it means a full year of accountability on every completed job. If the work isn’t right, Ruben Castellano and the Alcott Chimney San Antonio team make it right. We don’t ask you to prove anything beyond showing us the problem. We’d rather spend an hour fixing our work than have you spend a season wondering if your chimney is safe. That’s the trade, and it’s one we’ve made happily since 2002.
Licensed & Insured Backing
Licensing and insurance are the quiet half of any guarantee. The written promise matters, but it only means something if the company behind it is still standing and legally accountable. Alcott Chimney San Antonio is licensed and insured, and we operate as an independently owned and operated location within the Threshold Group family of home-service companies. That family structure gives our customers something a solo fly-by-night operation can’t: a standard. Every technician is background-checked, identity-verified, uniformed, and announced by name and photo before arrival. We carry the coverage a serious chimney company should, and we don’t send anyone to your home who hasn’t been vetted to the Threshold Standard. When you hire us, you’re not hiring a stranger with a truck and a brush. You’re hiring a company that has to answer for its work, and we’ve been fine with that since 2002.
